UNIVERSAL GOES GOOGLE MAP SATELLITE-Y

Universal Studios is turning 100 this year, so they’ve updated their animated globe logo again! Like, for the 7th time! This new version has detailed satellite imagery as seen from a clear night in space. 

The soundtrack has a slight new arrangement. The ‘UNIVERSAL’ wordmark is fucking massive, they really 3D’d that shit to the max. As soon as the ‘U’ comes around the corner it’s a full alien-spaceship attack!! The earth gets dark and city lights switch on as the ‘U’ appears. It looks really good! But then ’ A Comcast Company’ appears and all magic is lost. Those dudes put me on hold for 2 hours once.
